Aplastar 55c is a full size, yet compact floor standing ring and puck grinding mill (20″x20″x38″). Aplastar 55c features a 1HP Direct Drive motor with a standard 3-year motor warranty, this heavy-duty mill operates on standard 115v power, has an observation window, LED work area lights, and operates at a comfortable low level of noise of ~55db, with our exclusive “Whisper Drive” that is as “Quiet as a whisper”! Grinding containers are available in 10cc (single or up to three at a time), 100cc and 250cc in Hardened, Gas Purged or Cryogenic Steel, Alumina and Zirconia Ceramic, and Tungsten Carbide.

Tiny Titan 100 for XRF Sample Prep and Other Grinding Needs
Tiny Titan 100 is a bench-top mini mill that takes up only 16″x16″ of bench-top space. This 1/3HP Direct Linear Drive motor equipped unit runs on standard 115v power with touch screen controls. Designed for easy service and maintenance, the Tiny Titan 100 features LED work area lights, an observation window, a heavy duty welded steel enclosure, and a WHISPER Drive <55dB noise level, all in a 16″x16″ footprint. Grinding containers are available in 10cc (single or up to three at a time) and 100cc in Hardened, Gas Purged or Cryogenic Steel, Alumina and Zirconia Ceramic, and Tungsten Carbide.

The AplaStar 55 and Tiny Titan 100 are fast and quiet. Our smooth, fast and flat grinding motion puts all of the machine’s rotational energy into grinding and NOT into “off kilter violence”. An unstable spin produces a little grind and a lot heat.
Our grinding containers remain cool to the touch, and our fast and smooth spin protects the pins and joints of the scissor clamp.
Finally, Micron LabTech builds to last. Our vibratory swing weight is NOT mounted directly on the motor shaft. Imagine, many competing units do exactly that. As a result, their motors fail all too often and can cost you unanticipated down time and wasted capital.
